Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

**As of March 14, 2024 project was awarded to Forest Landscaping and Construction Inc. with an amount of $2,472,181.02. ** Project involves public infrastructure improvements at various locations within the City of Fort Atkinson. Below is a summary of work at each location. Base Bid A - Frederick Avenue, Nelson Steet, and Messmer Street Project work in this area includes, but shall not be limited to, approximately 900 LF of asphalt pavement milling and overlay; spot removal and replacement of concrete curb and gutter; spot removal and replacement of concrete sidewalk; removal and replacement of driveway aprons; relay of water services and miscellaneous appurtenances; work zone traffic control; erosion and sediment control measures; surface restoration; cleanup; and miscellaneous appurtenant facilities required to complete construction. A mandatory alternate includes, but shall not be limited to, sidewalk infill, tree removal, and sanitary sewer point repair. Base Bid B - Nelson Street Project work in this area includes, but shall not be limited to, approximately 1,170 LF of asphalt pavement pulverizing, shaping, grading, and overlay; removal and replacement of concrete curb and gutter; spot removal and replacement of concrete sidewalk; removal and replacement of driveway aprons; 8-inch water main installation including valves, fire hydrants, water services and miscellaneous appurtenances; work zone traffic control; erosion and sediment control measures; surface restoration; cleanup; and miscellaneous appurtenant facilities required to complete construction. A mandatory alternate includes, but shall not be limited to, sidewalk infill, tree removal, and sanitary sewer point repair. Base Bid C - Cloute Street, Caswell Street, and Zaffke Street Project work in this area includes, but shall not be limited to, approximately 2,600 LF of asphalt pavement pulverizing, shaping, grading, and overlay; removal and replacement of concrete curb and gutter; spot removal and replacement of concrete sidewalk; removal and replacement of driveway aprons; 8-inch water main installation including valves, fire hydrants, water services and miscellaneous appurtenances; 12-inch storm sewer including pipe, inlets, manholes, and miscellaneous appurtenances; work zone traffic control; erosion and sediment control measures; surface restoration; cleanup; and miscellaneous appurtenant facilities required to complete construction. A mandatory alternate includes, but shall not be limited to, sidewalk infill, tree removal, and sanitary sewer point repair. Base Bid D - Grove Street, Park Street, Maple Street, and Grant Street Project work in this area includes, but shall not be limited to, approximately 2,475 LF of 8-inch sanitary sewer including pipe, manholes, new laterals, reconnection of existing laterals, and miscellaneous appurtenances; asphalt pavement pulverizing, shaping, grading, and overlay; asphalt pavement milling and overlay; spot removal and replacement of concrete curb and gutter; spot removal and replacement of concrete sidewalk; new water services and miscellaneous appurtenances; work zone traffic control; erosion and sediment control measures; surface restoration; cleanup; and miscellaneous appurtenant facilities required to complete construction. A mandatory alternate includes, but shall not be limited to, sidewalk infill, tree removal, and sanitary sewer point repair. Additional Description: All Work is included in a single prime contract. Construction time is of the essence. Completion delays are subject to liquidated damages. The City of Fort Atkinson reserves the right to accept the most advantageous Bid, or to reject any and all Bids. Award of Work described herein is subject to the provisions of the Wisconsin Statutes. To demonstrate Bidder's qualifications to perform the Work, within five (5) days of Owner's request, Bidder shall submit written evidence establishing its qualifications. Bids must be accompanied by Bid security made payable to City of Fort Atkinson in an amount of 5% of Bidder's maximum Bid price and in the form of a certified check, or an electronic Bid Bond issued by a surety meeting the requirements of Paragraph 6.01 of the General Conditions. Bidder is required to upload a copy of the Bid security to Online and deliver the original certified check or bid bond within 48 hours after close of bid to Ruekert & Mielke, Inc., Attn: Andrew W.
