Site work for a mixed-use development in Madera, California. Completed plans call for site work for a swimming pool.
The City of Madera is soliciting bids for the complete replaster and retile of two outdoor pools located at Centennial Pool Complex at 221 Flume Street, Madera, CA 93638. One pool is a lap pool that measures 81 feet by 47 feet and is 3 1/2 feet in depth. The second pool is a diving pool that measures 34 feet by 29 feet, and ranges from 8 feet to 13 feet in depth. Both pools have a 6-inch tile trim that will be replaced. The lap pool has an ADA tiled ramp, which is 51 feet by 3 feet, with 8-inch tiles; but only 46 feet of tiled surface exists and is proposed to be replaced. The remaining ramp surface areas shall be replastered. The City is also requesting the replacement of 7 pool skimmers in the lap pool that need to be replaced. This is a federally assisted construction project and Federal labor standards, including Davis-Bacon requirements will be enforced. In accordance with said standards, workers employed in construction-related work under said contract shall be paid not less than the applicable minimum prevailing area wage rates referenced hereinafter. If Federal and State wage rates are applicable, then the higher of the two shall prevail. Copies of the current Federal prevailing wage rates applicable to said contract are included in Attachment F of these Specifications. The purpose of Section 3 is to ensure that employee and other economic opportunities generated by HUD assistance or HUD assisted projects covered by Section 3 shall to the greatest extent feasible, be directed to low- and very low-income persons, particularly persons who are recipients of HUD assistance for housing.
