The City of Chipley (City) invites qualified contractors (Contractor) to submit bids for a turn-key photovoltaics (PV) solar panel project. This project involves the installation of a 40-kW solar panel system at the public works building located at 671 Rustin Drive, Chipley, FL. The selected contractor will be responsible for developing detailed designs and engineering plans, specifying solar panels, inverters, mounting structures, and necessary electrical components, adhering to local building codes and regulations. This is a turn-key PV Solar Panel project. The Contractor shall conduct a detailed site assessment to determine the optimal location for the 40-kW solar panel system. In addition, the Contractor shall develop design plans and obtain all required permits. The Contractor shall install the solar panel system per the approved design plans, which involves mounting solar panels, connecting electrical wiring, and integrating the system into the existing infrastructure. A Bid Bond, in the amount of 5% of the proposed base bid contract amount, shall accompany each bid. The successful bidder's security will be retained until the contract has been signed and the bidder has furnished the required Public Construction Bond. The City reserves the right to retain the security of the next bidder until the selected bidder enters into contract or until 90 days after bid opening, whichever is shorter. All other bid security will be returned as soon as practicable. All work must be completed and accepted by August 31, 2024.
