The bidder is specifically advised that the Village is a Sub recipient of the County of Cook of a grant pursuant to the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended. Compliance with the following requirements required: Stevens Amendment to the Department of Defense Appropriations Act of 1989, Prevailing Wage as determined by the Secretary of Labor (11/17/2023) in accordance with the Davis-Bacon Act, as amended, (U.S.C. Sections 76-276a-5), Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act (40 U.S.C. Sections327- 333), Copeland "Anti-Kickback Act" (18 U.S.C. Section 874) as supplemented in Department of Labor Regulations (29 CFR Part 3), Equal Employment Opportunity for the Community Development Block Grants. The Village of Hillside reserves the right to reject any and all proposals or bids. The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following: 1. Renovation of the existing Gymnasium on the Lower Level of the East Wimg and Renovation of other areas of the building require to support the Gymnasium Renovation. These areas include: o Lower Link (Toilet Rooms, Bathrooms, Data Room, Ejector Pump Room, Main Electrical Room, Corridor) o 3rd Floor East Wing (North Mechanical Room) o 3rd Floor Link (Boiler Room in NE corner) o NE Stair, SE Stair, Middle Stair - access/egress to the Gymnasium and to the 3rd Floor Work will include Architectural, Structural MEPFP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection and Technology Scope of Work. The date to submit RFIs has been extended to End of Day, Tuesday, 01/15/2024. All RFIs will be responded to and emailed to all on bidder's list by Friday, January 19, 2024.
