As of March 19, 2024, the project was awarded to Huurr Homes LLC, with an awarded amount of $1,298,853.95. The construction cost estimate is $888,975 for the Main Project and $153,466 for Option A. Total construction budget is $1,042,441. S2 Area Drainage Improvements Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond/Security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Bid and must accompany each Bid in accord with the Instructions to Bidders. The successful Bidder, who is awarded the contract, will be required to furnish a 100% Construction Payment and Performance Bond meeting the requirements of Section 255.05 Florida Statutes and Section 337.18(1), Florida Statutes. The resulting contract shall be awarded to the lowest, responsive and responsible bidder whose bid meets the requirements and criteria set forth in this ITB and whose award will be in the best interest of and most advantageous to the City of South Bay, taking into consideration, among other things, bid amount, the financial responsibility of the bidder, quality of materials, personnel and equipment resources, proven skill and experience, abilities to timely perform the contract, previous satisfactory performance and such other abilities of the bidder that the City in its sole discretion determines will enable it to perform effectively and efficiently the contract being bid upon. A bid tab for each project is required and the two bid tabs will be added to determine the contractor's project bid. No bidder may withdraw his or her bid for a period of ninety (90) days after submission by the date set for the opening thereof.
