The maintenance, inspection & repair of the Sprinker Ice Rink refrigeration system may include, and is not limited to: Replacement of filters. Inspection of ... The system for refrigerant leaks, Refrigerant levels, Glycol levels, Overall operational functions, Control circuit operations, All contacts for wear, Compressor oil levels, Voltages and amperages, Super heat, Secondary coolant levels & ratings, Operation of crankcase heaters; Calibration of all safety controls & over-loads; Drain excess/add to compressor oil levels, and compare to added oil posted within log book; Tighten any loose motor/control panel terminals; Maintain the pump to include (but not limited to) ... Lubrication of pump & motor bearings per manufacturers' recommendations, Securing all nuts, bolts, motor mounts & vibration pads, Maintain motor operating conditions, electrical connections, contactors, mechanical seals & pump packing; Maintain the cooling tower to include (but not limited to) ... Tower and its components, Fan operations, Belt alignments & tensions, Distribution nozzles on top of the tower, Cleaning of tower basin from all scale & debris, and noting/advising of any abnormal scale/corrosion; and Repair the Ice Rink's refrigeration system as needed. PCFM's M&O Division is charged with the (preventive) maintenance & repair services of the Sprinker Recreation Center's Ice Rink; and inasmuch as same system & its component elements are of a specialized refrigeration & ammonia-based nature, it is imperative that the County outsource the subject, on-call services from specialized contractors Question Submission Deadline: December 29, 2023, 4:00pm a. A bid bond will not be required for this work. b. For Public Works contracts less than or equal to $35,000 including tax and purchase services contracts which include services requiring the payment of prevailing wages less than or equal to $50,000 including tax, the following will apply: The County shall waive retainage and bonding but will retain the right of recovery against the Contractor for any payments made on the Contractor's behalf. The notice to proceed will be issued within ten (10) calendar days of the execution of the Contract by the Owner. Should there be reasons why the notice to proceed cannot be issued within such period, the time may be extended by mutual agreement between the County and Contractor. All project work shall be completed within Not to Exceed Two Years or 365calendar days of issuance of the Notice to Proceed by the County
