Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Conceptual plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and bridge / tunnel.

The purpose of this request for proposal is to obtain proposals from firms to provide professional consulting and engineering design services related to the Dixon Street Pedestrian Bridge. The intention is to replace the pedestrian bridge with a new structure that will minimize maintenance requirements and risk of flood damage by elevation of the superstructure above the 100-yr base flood elevation. All questions must be received by 4:00 p.m. on May 15, 2024. Inquiries received after 4:00 p.m. on May 15, 2024, will not receive responses. The Performance Bond will be equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract value for that Year. The City of Allentown reserves the right to reject any and all proposals submitted and to request additional information from any Contractor and the right to waive minor irregularities in the procedures or proposals The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
