Site work for a laboratory facility in Hillsboro, Missouri. Completed plans call for site work for a laboratory facility.

The proposed work entails construction of a new Jefferson County Crime Laboratory building, including all site civil improvements, building architectural and laboratory casework elements, as well as all building structural, foundations, mechanical, electrical, plumping, fire protection and data/security elements. The contractor will be responsible for providing necessary material and labor to complete the project in a timely manner in accordance with the Project Manual, Plan Drawings, and other Contract Documents. The contractor will be responsible for arranging delivery of materials to the job site. The bid shall also include disposal of all waste and demolition material. A comprehensive pre-bid meeting will not be required. Work shall be in accordance with the Project Manual, Plan Drawings and Contract Documents. Where not specifically covered by these documents, the Contractor shall adhere to the latest edition of the City of Pevely, Missouri Building Code requirements. Bids submitted via fax or electronic will be rejected. Late Bids will not be accepted and will be returned to the sender, unopened. All labor used in the construction of this public improvement shall be paid a wage no less than the prevailing hourly rate of wages of work of a similar character in this locality as established by the State of Missouri's "Annual Wage Order" that is currently effective 10 calendar days prior to bid opening. All bids shall be made on the forms provided. Jefferson County, Missouri hereby reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in the bids received and to accept the bid that in its judgment will be in the best interest of Jefferson County, Missouri. Contractors and sub-contractors who sign a contract to work on public works projects must provide a 10- Hour OSHA construction safety program, or similar program approved by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, to be completed by their on-site employees within sixty (60) days of beginning work on the construction project. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or satisfactory bid bond payable to Jefferson County, Missouri, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total amount of bid as a guarantee that the successful bidder will enter into a contract and furnish the required bonds within the time period stated in the Project Manual. Project Estimate: $7,647,630 County Council Award of Project Monday, March 11, 2024 Executed Contract by County and Contractor Tuesday, March 26, 2024 Contractor Material Ordering & Project NTP Friday, May 10, 2024 Early Project Completion - Calendar Day Deadline Monday, May 5, 2025 Final Project Completion Deadline - Project Float Saturday, November 1, 2025 The Bidder agrees that, should the Bidder fail to complete the work in the time specified or such additional time as may be allowed by the Engineer under the contract, the amount of liquidated damages to be recovered shall be as follows: Liquidated damages per day: $ 1,500.00 Liquidated damages have been calculated at $20.00 per day per $100,000.00 of contract value and has assumed a $7,500,000.00 value of the approved contract ALL documents thoroughly, and request written or oral interpretation of clarifications soon after discovering any conflicts, ambiguities, errors, or omissions in the bidding documents. Request for clarification must be received prior to bid openings. *Wright Construction requests bids by 2:00 p.m. EST on February 13, 2024.
