Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in New Castle, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.

**As of January 22, 2024, project was awarded to Sportsfield Specialties and Playing Surface Solutions, Inc., and the total awarded amount is $60,287.72** Furnish and Install the perimeter Fencing at the Mohawk High School Baseball and Softball fields. Question Cut-Off Date January 3, 2024 10:00 AM Baseball Layout 25'x32'x25' and 40' high You will need 4 6" diameter posts. As for the netting, the make is TNPPUC but these are all custom nets. The heights will have to be field verified such as baseball with the block wall. Softball Layout 25'x25'x25' and 25' high You will need 4 6" diameter posts. Same deal for the netting here. Connor with Sportsfield Specialties has been made aware this is going out for bid. He is my contact at SFS. You can reach out to him for any further details. Let him know you are bidding on the Mohawk Area School District job. Installation of softball and baseball backstop must be complete no later than March 10,2024. The Envelope Must Be Marked "sealed Baseball/softball Backstop Bid". It is the responsibility of the bidder to ensure its bid reaches the District on time. Question Deadline 01/03/2024 at 10:00 AM ET The District will accept only written questions from all potential bidders in accordance with the procedure outlined in this RFB. All questions are to be submitted in writing via e-mail to Rick Dudzenski, Director of Operations at rdudzenski@mohawk.k12.pa.us. (a) Every contract to which the Commonwealth, its political subdivisions, an authority created by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth including authorities created under the Municipality Authorities Act of 1945 and instrumentalities or agencies of the Commonwealth is a party, for construction, reconstruction, demolition, alteration or repair work other than maintenance work where the estimated cost of the total project is in excess of $25,000, which requires or involves the employment by a contractor or subcontractor of laborers, mechanics, skilled and semi-skilled laborers and apprentices in the performance of services directly upon the public work project shall include in its specifications a provision stating the general prevailing minimum wage rates as determined by the Secretary which shall be paid for each craft or classification of workmen needed to perform the contract during the anticipated term thereof in the locality in which the public work is performed. In the event it is found that any workman, employed by any Contractor or any Subcontractor covered by any contract in excess if of $25,000 has been paid a rate of wages less than the Prevailing Wage required to be paid by such contract, the Contract Administrator may terminate the Contractor's right to proceed with the work, or such part of the work as to which there has been a failure to pay required wages and may otherwise prosecute the work to completion. Nothing contained in the Prevailing Wage Act shall prohibit the payment of more than the prevailing wage rate to any workman employed on a public project. The bidder shall submit with the proposal the bidder's Public Work Contractor Registration Act certificate. The District reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to reject any or all bids, or to accept a proposal in whole or in part, if deemed to be in the best interest of the District to do so. The District reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel this RFB without obligation and for any reason, in part or in its entirety. The bidder must submit one (1) complete copy.
