Renovation of an educational facility in Framingham, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 64,711-square-foot educational facility.
The City of Framingham, through the Mayor of Framingham Massachusetts, the Awarding Authority invites sealed bids for IFB#8295 Dunning School Roof Replacement and Associated Work. The project is the removal and replacement of the current failing roofing system with a new single-ply SBS-modified bituminous roofing system (with a PVC alternative) for the Charlotte A. Dunning Elementary School at 48 Frost Street, Framingham, MA 01701. The work shall include temporary removal and reinstallation of roof equipment. The existing building is an educational facility of approximately 64,711 square feet. The existing building is constructed of steel superstructure with masonry exterior walls. The roof framing is steel beams and bar joists with a poured gypsum roof deck. The heating system consists of gas boilers with exhaust fans and ventilation coils. DCAMM Certification is required to bid on this project; General bid certification category is Roofing The City reserves the right to reject any and all submissions, to waive any minor informalities & technicalities, or to cancel the bid if it were in the public interest to do so.
