Effective March 5, 2022 Facial PPE (masks) are not required in Indiana State University Buildings so respondents delivering Bids are not required to wear facial PPE when delivering Bids, however, it is suggested that a mask be worn to protect the Purchasing Department Personnel when delivering the Bids. Replace MV cables and upgrade capacity of ISU MV Circuits C2 and D2 from terminal cells T26 to and including T30. b. Remove porcelain stand-off insulators, clean and turn over to the Owner. c. Provide and install three (3) deadbreak 600A 4-way junctions in each terminal cell. d. Provide and install three (3) 350MCM 15KV cables and one (1) 600V 4/0 THHN cable (for ground) in each raceway. e. Provide deadbreak 600A 15KV Bol-T Terminations for the new cable. f. Reterminate existing cables to remain with 600A deadbreak or 200A loadbreak terminations as needed based on existing cable sizes. A 600A deadbreak to 200A loadbreak adapter may be required. g. Provide all grounding accessories (drain wires, ground conductors, connectors, etc.) as required. If necessary, install a ground bushing on the existing raceway. h. Replace existing terminal doors where indicated on the drawings with new hollow metal frames and metal doors. This work can only occur when the associated terminal cell is de-energized. Paint the frames and doors with rust inhibitor paint like Rust-Oleum Rust Inhibitor. i. Provide cable and circuit identification and nameplates. j. Employ an approved electrical testing company to perform the testing specified in Section 26 05 72 Power System Acceptance Testing. k. Both Medium Voltage Circuits cannot be deenergized and demolished (disconnected and cables and termination posts removed) at the same time, and shut-downs and demolition work must carefully schedule with the Owner and approved by the Owner a minimum of fourteen (14) calendar days in advance. l. Most buildings affected by the project are served by double-ended switchgear (except North 8th Street Animal Facilities Building). Except for the time needed to switch between circuits, all buildings shall remain energized during the entire duration of the project. Do not deenergize any part of a circuit and do not proceed with any demolition work or replacement work until buildings are switched to the other circuit. The Owner will switch buildings. Coordinate schedule closely with the Owner. m. All removed cable shall be delivered to the ISU Recycle Center at 449 N 9th Street. B. Procedures 1. Coordination: Modify or adjust affected adjacent work as necessary to completely integrate work of the Base Bid into the Project. 2. Include as part of the Base Bid miscellaneous devices, accessory objects, and similar items incidental to or required for a complete installation whether or not indicated as part of the Base Bid
