Provide Maintenance Services and Repairs to Water Features at Various Locations Across the City as Required by Public Landscape. The City of Santa Monica's Public Landscape Division is seeking a vendor to provide maintenance services and repairs to water features at various locations across the City. Services required include debris removal, equipment and pump maintenance, aquatic plant maintenance and water treatment. Weekly and annual maintenance services and repairs are needed at: the living pond system at Douglas Park. (3) three water features at Tongva Park (Play Deck Feature, Water Bay Water Feature, Ocean Avenue & Garden Walk Runnel Water Features) (1) one water feature at City Hall's Ken Genser Town Square (Town Square & Runnel Water Feature) (1) one water feature at the Public Safety Facility (1) one water feature at the Santa Monica Main Library, and (1) one water feature at the Annenberg Community Beach House, as required by the Public Landscape Division. The City is interested in a five (5) year contract. The vendor shall provide and administer specialized services as specifically described in this bid, maintain continuing cooperation with Public Landscape personnel throughout. Pre-Bid Meeting: Ken Genser Town Square at Santa Monica City Hall (walk to) Tongva Park (walk to) Public Safety Facility (drive to) Main Library at 601 Santa Monica Blvd (drive to) Douglas Park at 2439 Wilshire Blvd The City may, at its discretion, disqualify bidders that attend the job walk late or do not attend the complete job walk. Bidders are required to provide their own transportation. Parking is available for job walk locations #1-3 in the Civic Center Parking Structure across the street from the Public Safety Facility. The first 30 minutes are free. Location: 333 Civic Center Drive, Santa Monica, CA. Parking is available for job walk location #4 at the Santa Monica Main Library in the parking structure below, or meter parking is available on adjacent streets. Location: 601 Santa Monica Blvd. Metered street parking is available on adjacent streets for job walk location #6, Douglas Park at 2439 Wilshire Blvd. Approximate job walk duration: 3 hours Please allow extra traveling time in case of traffic congestion. Late arrivals may be disqualified from bidding. Bidders must attend all job walk locations. Complete scope of services will be explained at the job walk and questions will be answered as future addenda to the bid. Contractors will have the opportunity to inspect the job site, receive a briefing on the City's expectations and ask questions of City staff. All Contractors are required to meet at the job walk site at the time indicated. Sign in will be required. Late arrivals may be excluded from the job walk and from bidding. The City reserves the right to award the bid to separate bidders on any of the items as provided in and set forth in the bidder's proposal form furnished by the City. It is further understood that if the bidder to whom any award is made fails to enter into a contract with the City, award may be made to the next best bidder, who shall be bound to perform as if she, he or it received the award in the first instance. Bids submitted may be withdrawn by written request received before the hour set for the opening. After that time, no bidder may withdraw a bid for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of opening. A successful bidder may not withdraw his, her or its bid at any time. Question Deadline 01/22/2024 at 3:00 PM PT. Questions must be submitted electronically. The City will only accept or respond to questions submitted through electronically. Question Response Deadline: January 30, 2024, 5:00pm. Responses to inquiries received will be posted electronically.
