The scope of work for the Marine Park Basketball Court Reconstruction Project consists of the design and construction of a post tension concrete slab courts, approximately 13,100 sf at 1406 Marine Street. The construction will include demolition of existing asphalt basketball courts and construction of post tension concrete slab courts at the same location, size and striping markings as existing. Mobilization and demobilization including temporary construction fencing, maintenance, and implementation of BMP and erosion control plan will be required. PROJECT ESTIMATE: $200,000 CONTRACT DAYS: 180 calendar days LIQUIDATED DAMAGES: $1,000.00 Each Bid must be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check made payable to the City of Santa Monica, or a Bidder's bond (using the form provided in the Bid Form) for an amount equal to at least ten percent (10%) of the amount bid as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract with the City. Bid bonds (or cashier's checks) must be scanned and uploaded. Within ten (10) Days after the issuance of the Notice of Award and prior to commencing Work on the Project, Contractor shall file with City good and sufficient Labor & Material Payment and Performance Bonds each in the amount of 100% of the Contract Sum. The Contractor and Subcontractors shall be licensed in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 9, Division 3, of the Business and Professions Code of the State of California and submit the number and classification of said licenses with the Bid Documents. This Project constitutes a "public works" project within the meaning of California Labor Code section 1720 and is subject to the prevailing wage laws. Bidder should familiarize itself with the prevailing wage provisions in Article 13 (Statutory Requirements) of the City's General Conditions.
