Pavement Striping & Marking Services, in accordance with Bid Documents on file for the Work in the Procurement Department. Contract duration: 1 year Q & A deadline: Jan 17, 2024 8:00:00 PM EST, Responses to RFIs will be issued by Owners Project Manager. RFI responses shall not change any requirement of the Contract Documents. This is a Public Work and will require Prevailing Wages to be paid The Work will consist of Pavement Striping & Marking. The successful contractor shall be responsible for all necessary equipment, tools, materials, labor, and supplies required to perform the work as specified herein. Each bid must be accompanied by cash, a certified or cashier's check, or a bond in the sum of not less than 10% of the total aggregate of the bid price, including all additive bid items. The check or bond must be made payable to "The County of Santa Clara." BID BOND: The original bid bond shall be mailed/delivered and addressed to: County of Santa Clara - Procurement Department Attn.: MINOR PUBLIC WORKS program; Fenny Hou; Procurement Officer 130 W. Tasman Drive, First Floor San Jose, CA 95134 The "performance bond" must be in an amount of 100% of the Contract Sum as specified in the Notice to Bidders and must be so conditioned as to ensure the faithful performance by Contractor of all Work. It shall also include the replacing, or making acceptable, of any defective materials or faulty workmanship during the Guarantee period(s). The "payment bond for public works" must be in an amount of 100% of the Contract Sum as specified in the Notice to Bidders and shall inure to the benefit of persons performing labor or furnishing materials in connection with the Work. This bond must be maintained in full force and effect until all Work is completed and Accepted by Owner, and until all claims for materials and labor have been paid. No Pre-Bid Conference has been scheduled for this solicitation The Contractor must possess a C-32 Contractor's License issued by the Contractor's State License Board at the time the bid is submitted, per Business and Professions Code section 7028.15. The County reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any non-material errors or discrepancies in the bids The Work is subject to the payment of not less than prevailing wages under Labor Code section 1770 et seq. The work is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. All contractors must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 in order to submit a bid. All subcontractors listed in the bid proposal must also be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations. No contractor or subcontractor may be awarded a contract for public work, or perform work, on a public works project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations.
