Site work for a water / sewer project in Park Forest Village, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The total amount of the bid as security for proper execution of the Agreement and submitting other documents as required by the Bidding Documents. The Contractor also will be required to furnish evidence of insurance coverage as required by the Bidding Documents. The successful bidder will be required to comply with Prevailing Minimum Wages in accordance with the PA Department of Labor & Industry Prevailing Minimum Wage Determination. The work to be performed consists of the installation of 6,950 L.F. of 8-inch diameter ductile iron waterline and associated appurtenances on North Oak Lane located in Patton Township, Centre County. Bidding Documents including plans and specifications are on file and open for inspection at the Authority's office, 1201 West Branch Road, State College, PA 16801 during normal business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.) and at the offices of Gwin, Dobson & Foreman, Inc., 3121 Fairway Drive, Altoona, PA, 16602-4475 and may be examined or requested between the hours of 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Phone 814-943-5214, Fax 814-943-8494. Express mail requests will require additional payment to cover such costs. Payment also accepted using VISA and MasterCard. Bidding documents including plans, specifications and addenda, must be obtained directly from the Engineer to be considered. No bids may be withdrawn, except when the Bidder(s) comply with the withdrawal requirements ofAct No. 4 of the General Assembly of Pennsylvania, Senate Bill 793, Printers No. 1655, as amended. All bonds shall be executed by sureties named in the current list, "Companies Holding Certificates ofAuthority as Acceptable Sureties in Federal Bonds and as Acceptable Reinsuring Companies" as published in Circular 570 (as amended) by the Audit Staff, Bureau of Government Financial Operations, U.S. Treasury Department and shall be acceptable to the State College Borough Water Authority. The State College Borough Water Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids or parts thereof or items therein, to waive any defects or irregularities in the Bids, and to accept any Bid which, in its judgement, is for its best interest. Bids shall remain open for a period of sixty (60) days from the date of Bid opening. All Bids shall be in a sealed envelope and plainly marked as follows: State College Borough Water Authority 1201 West Branch Road State College, PA 16801-7697.
