The City of Hamilton requires Consulting Services to complete a Municipal Class Environment Assessment for Safari Road, between Kirkwall Road and Valens Road The scope of Work for this Project is: Assess road profile changes Estimate construction costs Recommend drainage solutions Identify property impacts Proponents should familiarize themselves with the Project and ascertain the full scope of Work and Services required to provide professional services for the completion of the Safari Road (Kirkwall Road to Valens Road) Municipal Class Environmental Assessment. Proponents are required to remain updated on legislative changes and be able to adapt the work plan accordingly. This Project shall fulfill, at a minimum, the requirements of Phases 1 and 2 of the Municipal Class EA (MCEA) process as prescribed by the Municipal Engineers Association's (MEA) Municipal Class EA document (October 2000, as amended in 2007, 2011, 2015, and 2023). In completing Phases 1 and 2 of the MCEA process, the scope will include: identifying the problem/opportunity; identifying alternative solutions to address the problem/opportunity; identifying the preferred solution; and documenting the planning process in a single Project File Report (PFR). The scope will also include public and stakeholder engagement and documentation, a complete financial analysis with regard to the proposed infrastructure, funding sources and proposed timing for budget purposes. Included in the scope is the preparation and provision of functional cost estimates for all options. Confirmation with City staff on cost estimates is essential. There is no proposal security, performance security or labour and material payment security required for this Request for Proposals.
