Site work and asbestos abatement for an educational facility in Rochester, Minnesota. Completed plans call for site work for a educational facility; and for asbestos abatement for a educational facility.
The scope of work for Phase 1 involves the removal, under full containment and utilizing wet-grinding methods, of approximately nine hundred (900) square feet of asbestos-containing floor tile and mastic beneath non-asbestos containing carpet in Room 109 [see Appendix B for ASB100, AD100.b AD300, MD100.b, and PD101b for schedule of materials to be removed]. The scope of work also includes the removal of carpet, which may take place once full containment has been established, prior to any disturbance of asbestos-containing materials. Carpet may be disposed of as non asbestos containing waste if asbestos-containing floor tile and/or mastic is not adhered to the carpet. The scope of work also includes, under full containment, the removal of asbestos-containing plaster wall texture (estimated two hundred seventy [270] square feet) utilizing wet-grinding methods, on the north exterior wall. A. The Project consists of the removal of asbestos containing ceiling and wall sprayed-on structural fireproofing texture, mudded pipe fitting insulation, plaster soffit and wall texture, Transite paneling, air-handling unit caulk, duct sealant caulk, floor tile and mastic throughout the building. 1.
