Work will consist of but not be limited to Concrete masonry foundation; Below slab vapor proofing; Concrete slab on grade; Concrete masonry walls with split face masonry block and metal panel siding; Structural steel; Plate connected wood trusses; Plastic laminated wood cabinetry, solid surface countertops; Metal shelf brackets; Rigid and batt Insulation; Fascia and soffit; Aluminum gutters, downspouts; Ice/water shield; Standing seam metal roof; Metal wall panels; Metal ceiling panels; Sheet metal and flashing; Joint sealants; Insulated overhead doors with electric operators; Standard steel doors and frames; Wood doors; Vinyl clad windows; Door hardware; Tempered/insulated glass/glazing; Suspended ceiling tile and grid system; Vinyl wall base; Paint; Fire extinguishers; Toilet accessories; Metal lockers; Interior signage; Flagpoles; Sprinkler work-design sprinkler system for code submission, and system installation; Plumbing work - toilets, sinks, lavatories, water fountains, mop sinks, water heater, sanitary piping, domestic water piping, propane gas piping, floor sink, grease interceptor, floor drains; HVAC work-unit heaters, gas furnace, ductwork, diffusers, return grilles, exhaust fans, fire dampers, thermostats, make up air unit, controls; Electrical work-wiring, receptacles, conduit, panels, data and phone wiring, lighting, emergency lighting, illuminated exit signage, lighting controls; Site clearing; Rough grading; Excavation, Backfill; Landscape grading and seeding; Paving and line striping; Concrete curbs; Erosion and sediment control; Stormwater management; in accordance with documents prepared by Anthony H. Visco, Jr., Architects, 441 Market Street, Williamsport, PA. This project is a Prevailing Wage project under Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Rates, Act 422 of 1961, P.L. 987, amended, administered by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The successful prime contractor will be required to comply with all requirements of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Rates Act. Prime Contractors will be required to comply with applicable Buy America, Non-Discrimination, Non-Collusion, Lobbying, Debarment and Contractor Integrity laws and regulations. Bidders may not be on the Comptroller General's list of ineligible contractors. Bids and contracts are subject to all applicable state and federal laws and to a financial assistance contract between the Owner, the Borough of Jersey Shore and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and in compliance with all Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program and grant agreement requirements. The Owner, the Borough of Jersey Shore solicits and encourages Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) participation. DBE's shall be afforded full consideration of their response and will not be subject to discrimination. The successful prime contractors shall comply with the provisions of the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act, Act 222 of October 27, 1955 (P.L. 744) (43 PS Section 951, et. seq.) of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania prohibiting discrimination because of race, color, religious creed, ancestry, age, sex, national origin, handicap or disability, by employers, employment agencies, labor organizations, contractors and others as well as any other applicable statutory or regulatory requirements as set forth in the Contract Documents. Any successful bidder must enter into an agreement in the form prescribed in the Contract Documents and must furnish evidence of required insurance coverage. Prime Contractors for the project: Prime General Construction Contract. Prime Plumbing Construction Contract. Your firm will be required to provide a Bid Security in the form of a Bid Bond or Certified Check in an amount equal to 10% of the base bid together with the aggregate sum of all additive alternates. The successful Prime Bidder shall furnish to the Owner Performance and Payment Bonds, each for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract charge will be required as well as a Maintenance Bond covering defects of material and workmanship for the calendar year following the Owner's approval and acceptance of the Construction. Bonds must be furnished by a Bonding Company with a B+ or better rating. The Owner reserves the right to postpone, accept or reject any or all bids that are not in the best interest of the Owner and to waive any irregularities in the bids, as it deems in its best interest. Any bidder taking exception to any of the bid lines/items MUST justify said exception via written narrative and filed with the Architect for review and consideration jointly with the Owner. No bid may be withdrawn until the expiration of Sixty (60) days from the date bids are opened.
