Renovation of a mixed-use development in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 2,700-square-foot educational facility.
Design-Build Services for consolidation and relocation of select services within Coffman Union, located on the east bank of the Twin Cities campus. Refer to the Request for Proposal documents (found in the Attachments tab) for full project details/requirements. Question Cut off Date: 1/19/2024 01:00 PM (ET) Anticipated Authorization to Proceed February 21, 2024 The University requires the Project to be substantially complete by no later than April 25, 2025. Project A has a required Substantial Completion Date of August 16, 2024 and Project B has a required Substantial Completion Date of April 18, 2025. Project A (Bookstore/Print Services/Coffman Consolidation # 01-064-24-2622) includes the relocation of Print Services, Convenience Store (also known as Gopher Express), and the Post Office operations (approximately 2,800 SF) into the existing footprint of the University of MN Bookstore. These operations are currently located on the Ground Floor (slab on grade) of Coffman Union Memorial, but currently not within the confines of the Bookstore. This project will consist of working with the UMN stakeholders to identify space with the University of MN Bookstore and relocate the identified operations. It is anticipated that the relocation of the Post Office and Print Services will have shared amenities and not require a one-for-one relocation of space; details to be confirmed with the stakeholders. This renovation and UMN relocation of operations is required to be complete no later than August 16, 2024 and shall be tracked as a subproject under the D/B contract. Refer to the attached UMN Space Plan for reference. The vacated footprint of the Print Services, Convenience Store and Post Office will be renovated to accommodate the relocation of Project B (Coffman Cube Chick-Fil-A # 01-064-24-2733), currently located on the Ground Floor (slab on grade) in Minnesota Marketplace at Coffman Memorial Union. The food vendor has provided preliminary kitchen equipment plans of the proposed layout and accompanying foodservice equipment list inventory that has been included in this RFP for reference. The Respondents scope should include the purchase of the identified kitchen equipment represented on the provided equipment list. The vacated footprint of the existing Chick-Fil-A in Minnesota Marketplace is not currently programmed to receive a new tenant and at this time the work within the vacated space will be limited to equipment relocation (if applicable), required disconnections necessary by code to safely vacate, and removal of branding. Refer to the attached DLR Relocation Study for further description and illustration The University of Minnesota's TGB Program is administered by the Office for Supplier Diversity (OSD). A Respondent demonstrates its commitment to supporting the University's supplier diversity goals by engaging Targeted Businesses as subcontractors/suppliers on this Contract at a meaningful level of participation relative to the size, type, and location of the Project. The following goals and requirements apply for this Project: o Participation of Targeted Businesses equal to or greater than thirteen percent (13%) of the Base Bid/Proposal costs. o No less than 75% of the work or material contracted to the identified TGB enterprise(s) must be performed or supplied by said TGB enterprise(s).
