This project includes the construction of approximately 27 additional parking spaces at Kemp Elementary School. Associated work includes site grading, concrete curb and gutter, asphalt paving, marking and landscape installation. Work will be constructed following the Cobb County School District's standard specifications. Contractor's Pre-Qualification submittal should be emailed to Wendy Bell: wendy.bell@cobbk12.org. Bid Notes : Procurement Services Department at 6975 Cobb International Blvd. Kennesaw, Georgia 30152. Bids will be time and date stamped by the CCSD Bonfire Interactive Portal. Bids submitted in any manner other than through the CCSD Bonfire Interactive Portal will not be accepted. Bid responses must be accompanied by a bid bond made payable to the Cobb County School District, in the amount equal to five (5) percent of the bid price. (Certified Checks Not Acceptable.) The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond acceptable to the Cobb County School District in an amount equal to 100 percent of the contract price and executed by a Surety Company licensed to do business in the State of Georgia and listed in the Department of the Treasury Circular 570, latest edition. The Surety Company shall have an A.M. Best Company minimum rating of "A-" with a financial size of VI "6" or better. Bonds must be accompanied by a letter stating the bonding company's current rating for verification before acceptance by the Owner and execution of the formal Owner/Contractor agreement. Bonding of Subcontractors: Include in the Base Bid, Performance and Labor and Materials Payment Bonds, each in 100% of the subcontract sum, for each Subcontractor having a contract of $50,000.00 or more for Roofing, HVAC, Plumbing, Sprinkler System and Electrical Work as required by the General Conditions, The deadline for submitting pre-qualification requirements for this project is 3:00 PM ET on January 26, 2024. Contractors must provide proof of previous job experience within 30% of the cost of this project. CCSD will review the pre-qualification submittal and respond within five (5) business days. All communications concerning these documents and project must be submitted through the CCSD Interactive Portal. Only inquiries received by 3:00 PM ET on January 26, 2024 will be considered.
