The Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) is soliciting proposals from qualified, eligible contractors to perform arch spalling repairs at Buchanan Dam. LCRA may request your firm to attend an interview at our offices located at 3700 Lake Austin Blvd. Austin, TX 78703 at Contractors Expense. LCRA is looking to complete concrete rehabilitation work on Buchanan Dam. The rehabilitation work shall comprise of furnishing all equipment, labor, and materials and performing all construction operations required for dam concrete rehabilitation. Project includes making all necessary concrete spalling repairs on 70-ft wide Arches 24-34 and/or 35-ft wide Arches 1-9 and 11-23 (See Exhibit D). Priority and sequencing of arch repairs will be as directed by the LCRA Project Manager. Offerors interested in attending this Site Visit must RSVP via email to Carolina.Ocana@lcra.org by January 22nd, 2024 Projected start date is Spring 2024. The rehabilitation work shall be completed per Technical Specifications and Drawings provided by LCRA, consisting of, but not limited to, the following tasks: a. Field sounding survey and mapping to determine and document areas of spalled concrete to be removed and repaired. b. Repair of actively leaking cracks and construction joints as needed to complete concrete repair work (if necessary due to level of Lake Buchanan upstream of dam or other condition). c. Grading as needed to access and perform sounding survey and rehabilitation work. d. Removal of concrete in areas identified in the survey, as necessary to expose sound concrete and perimeter areas of corroded reinforcement, and as directed by LCRA to connect adjacent patch sections. e. Restoration of concrete including repair and replacement of steel reinforcement, surface preparation, and concrete repair material placement. f. Installation of galvanic protection system. g. After rehabilitation of above grade areas, provide rehabilitation of below grade repair sections: i. The contractor shall excavate all above grade repair areas that extend below the existing grade. ii. A field survey of the repair areas below existing grade shall be performed. iii. Removal of concrete below grade shall be completed as identified in the field survey, as necessary to expose sound concrete and perimeter areas of corroded reinforcement, and as directed to connect adjacent patch sections. iv. Restoration of concrete below grade as identified including repair and replacement of steel reinforcement, surface preparation, and concrete repair material placement. v. Installation of galvanic protection system. h.
