Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; for outdoor lighting for a playground / park / athletic field; water / sewer project; road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and road / highway.

The work for which bids are asked includes, but not limited to, park improvements and development at Washington Park (N 4th Street). The work includes site preparation for the proposed splashpad and inclusive playground, site grading &excavation, erosion control, landscaping, natural playground installation, stormwater and storm sewer improvements, asphalt parking lot and base course, curb and gutter, concrete sidewalk and edgers, shade structures, changing room building addition to the existing restroom facility, stone seat walls, fencing, landscaping, site lighting, pavement markings, site amenities, sanitary sewer, water utilities, and turf and site restoration. The City of Tomahawk has received a Land and Water Conservation Fund Grant that will be applied to this project. The anticipated substantial completion date is 08/02/2024 and final completion date is 09/20/2024. No proposal will be accepted unless accompanied by a certified check or bid bond equal to at least 5% of the amount bid, payable to the OWNER as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and bond within 15 days after the award of the contract. BIDDER is required to deliver the original bid bond within the 72 hours of bid opening to MSA Professional Services, Inc., 1835 N Stevens St, Rhinelander, WI 54501. The certified check or bid bond will be returned to the bidder as soon as the contract is signed, and if after 15 days the bidder shall fail to do so, the certified check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the OWNER as liquidated damages. No bid may be withdrawn within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Wisconsin Statutes, the minimum wages to be paid on the project shall be in accordance with the wage rate scale established by local wage rates.
