Questions shall be submitted by 4:00 pm (Central) Monday, January 29, 2024 Project Location: Riley Elementary, 516 Weller Ave, LaPorte, IN 46350. 2. Project Location: Kingsford Heights Elementary, 460 Evanston Rd, Kingsford Heights, IN 46346 HVAC Upgrades at Riley Elementary. Scope of work will include removing the existing chiller and installing a new chiller in a different location. The chiller has already been purchased and is in storage at 201 8th St, LaPorte, IN 46350. Selected contractor is responsible for transporting the new chiller from the current storage location to the project site. The chiller will be placed and new piping will be run to the existing chilled water pumps. Minimal control upgrades are requested in the base bid. More comprehensive controls upgrades are requested as Alternates. This work can commence immediately after Board approval and it is expected the chiller will be operational no later than May 1, 2024. 2. HVAC Upgrades at Kingsford Heights Elementary. Scope of work will include removing two air handling units and replacing them with new units. The existing units are currently in the plenum and the new units will be placed on the roof. Installation will also include installing new VAV boxes in the areas served by the units. Minimal controls upgrades will be included in this project and may be addressed at a future time. The air handling units have already been purchased and are in storage at 201 8th St, LaPorte, IN 46350. Selected contractor is responsible for transporting the new air handling units from the current storage location to the project site. This work can commence immediately after Board approval and it is expected the air handling units will be operational no later than May 1, 2024.
