Terrace Ct, Palmer AK 99654. The Scope of work requested from qualified contractors is to install a new fire water fill site at this Station. This invitation to bid is for accomplishing the tasks identified. The plans and specifications are attached to this invitation. The Matanuska-Susitna Borough reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, waive any and all technicalities or informalities it deems appropriate. Contractor shall provide the below documents to MSB project manager 5 days prior to a Notice to Proceed (NTP) being issued. o SOV (Schedule of Values) - list items on project along with item's cost o Progress schedule showing timeline and phased completion dates. o List showing anticipated dates for procurement of materials and equipment. o List showing all subcontractors and material suppliers (provided with bid docs) o SPOC (single point of contact) - name, email, and phone number o A quality control plan detailing how construction quality standards will be maintained. o Cutover plan and schedule. Note: any impact to the fire protection system must have a contingency plan agreed upon by MSB staff o Confined space: provide a submittal showing how OSHA safety standards will be followed. B. NTP start expected February 7, 2024 C. Substantial Completion March 30, 2024 D. Final Completion May 1, 2024 Any bid exceeding $50,000 for total of all base items and alternates shall be accompanied by a certified check, money order, cashier's check, or Bid Bond in the amount of at least 5% of the total Base Bid amount, made payable to the Matanuska-Susitna Borough, Palmer, Alaska, with good and sufficient surety or sureties acceptable to the Borough. Bid Guarantees will be held until the Agreement is executed or for 60 days whichever is less. Power-of Attorney for the person signing the Bid Bond for the Surety must be submitted with the Bid Bond. The Contractor shall furnish a performance bond in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price as security for the faithful performance of this Contract and also a payment bond in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price on the forms provided in the Project Manual, with sureties in compliance with applicable law and qualified by aw to act as surety in furnishing such bonds, and as may be acceptable to the Borough. The premium shall be paid by the Contractor. The Contractor shall deliver the required bonds to the Borough not later than ten days after notice of award. Question Deadline 01/17/2024 at 5:00 PM AKT. Questions or requests for clarifications shall be directed to the Borough's Purchasing Officer at purchasing@matsugov.us. Questions or requests for clarification directed to any other member of the borough staff, or consultant may be grounds for rejection of bid as being irregular. Any interpretation, correction, or change of the Bidding Documents will be made by Addendum. Interpretations, corrections, or changes of the Bidding Documents made in any other manner will not be binding, and Bidders shall not rely upon such interpretations, corrections, and changes.
