Demolition, site work and new construction of a municipal facility in Oak Brook, Illinois. Completed plans call for the demolition of a municipal facility; for the construction of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.

The Owner will receive bids for the construction of offices and storage room. The Work will include: demolition, walls, doors, plumbing, HVAC, lighting and outlets. Bids will be a single contract, stipulated sum. The Work will commence on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, and be performed such that the Project will be Substantially Complete as indicated in the Project Manual Document 00 31 13 BID SECURITY: All bid proposals must be accompanied by a bid bond or bank cashier's check payable to the Oak Brook Park District for ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid as provided in the Instructions to Bidders. No proposals or bids will be considered unless accompanied by such bond or check RIGHT TO REJECT BIDS: The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any errors, omissions or irregularities in the bids or the bidding procedure when, in the opinion of the Owner, such action will serve its best interests. Any bid which is not accompanied by the required bid security or by any other documents or certifications required by the Bidding Documents, and any bid which is in any way incomplete or irregular, is subject to rejection at the sole discretion of the Owner. GOVERNING LAWS AND REGULATIONS: The Work of this Project is subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, 820 ILCS 130/0.01 et seq. A prevailing wage determination has been made by the Illinois Department of Labor for public works projects in DuPage County. Prevailing wage rates will apply to this Project and must be included in the Bid amount. The Contractor selected will also be required to comply with all applicable federal, state and local laws, rules, regulations and executive orders including but not limited to those pertaining to equal employment opportunity. The Oak Brook Park District and Owner are one and the same. Architect or Engineer shall mean Kluber, Inc. which shall, through its designated representative, Charli Johnsos, cjohnsos@kluberinc.com, respond to questions and provide interpretations of the Specifications for this Project.
