City of Algood reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Sidewalk is to be 4 or 5 ft. wide and 4 inches thick except at driveways where thickness shall be 6 inches. Please see attached sidewalk detail for requirements. All work completed must match current grade and include rumble segments (truncated domes as indicated in detail sheets may be substituted with city approval) at each street intersection. Sidewalk repair may require removal of old sidewalk and possible haul away of debris. Debris can be transported to city garage at discretion of Public Works Director. Sections that are in good condition may be left and worked around at the discretion ofthe city. Bids must be submitted by cost per sq. ft. for demolition and construction separately. Please note any additional fee items including equipment, etc. Concrete will be included at time of construction at cunent market value and is not to be included in construction prices on bid form. The expected amount of sidewalk to be repaired is approximately 4000 linear feet, but total length ofrepair is at the discretion ofthe city. Work is intended to be completed by June 30, 2024.
