Site work for a water / sewer project in Algood, Tennessee. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade water / sewer project.
The project consists of the installation of approximately 4,300 linear feet of 12" ductile iron water main, replacing the existing main, including graded stone and paving replacement, service line and meter installations, as well as all necessary appurtenances to provide according to the plans and specifications. The allotted time for construction is 240 calendar days. Separate sealed bids are required. Each contractor choosing to bid must obtain bid documents from the office of James C. Hailey & Company upon a non-refundable payment. A bid bond or certified check for five percent (5%) of the total bid amount must accompany each bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond in the amount of the bid and shall, before entering on the work of said contract, be licensed as a contractor of the City of Algood. No bid may be withdrawn within 90 days after the scheduled time for receipt of bids. The owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids. Plan holders are responsible for checking for addenda posted online.
