Start of Service Date: 03/01/2024 End of Service Date: 01/31/2025 The project shall in general consist of, but is not limited to, construction of new classrooms within the walls of the John A. Burns School of Medicine. Work includes demolition, removal and installation of library partitions and interior finishes; construction of countertops and base cabinet; modification of existing electrical, mechanical and plumbing; addition of new footing and structural elements; and miscellaneous related work, as shown on the Plans and Technical Specifications The deadline to submit requests for clarification of the requirements of this IFB is January 29, 2024. All clarification requests shall be submitted via HePS QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS section, and all responses shall be issued in an addendum. Requests for substitutions regarding the IFB and its requirements, must be submitted to the Technical Representative of the Procurement Officer (TRPO), Brian Haruno via E-mail at bharuno@hawaii.edu no later than January 29, 2024. Contractor's License Requirement To be eligible to bid, bidders must possess a valid State of Hawaii Contractor's license B. BIDS FROM CONTRACTORS NOT LICENSED IN THE STATE OF HAWAII WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. In addition, bidders must either possess or list Subcontractors who possess specialty contractor licenses for the specialty work required for this project. The bidder shall be solely responsible for insuring that all specialty licenses required to complete the project are covered in its bid.
