Furnish all labor, material and equipment to remove an existing 36-inch gate valve, including the bonnet, operator, operating stem, support beam, disc assembly and the associated actuator from the eastern raw water intake pipe located in the wet well of the water plant's low lift building, refurbish all and reinstall to full operation per plans and specifications. Provide an alternate cost to furnish all labor, material, and equipment to remove the gate valve, appurtenances, and actuator and replace with new. A certified check payable to the City of Port Huron, or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and a surety company, in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid, shall be submitted with each bid The City of Port Huron reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive any defects or irregularities in the proposal, and to accept any proposal which is deemed most advantageous to the said City's interests. City reserves the right to award the base bid, alternate No. 1 or a combination thereof
