The Shelby County Board of Education ("SCBE") is requesting bids for the purchase of CNC Freezer Doors Installation. Shelby County Board of Education is interested in: 1. Creating strong partnerships with direct suppliers of goods 2. Taking advantage of economies of scale to help reduce operating costs 3. Driving revenues through increased participation Shelby County Board of Education serves approximately 92,000 reimbursable lunches daily and 53,000 reimbursable breakfasts. The district is allocated over 4.7 million dollars in USDA commodity entitlement. Shelby County Board of Education reserves the right to make selection of manufacturers in the best interest of its/their school systems. Shelby County Board of Education reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to award the bid either in whole or in part to the bidders whose bids in their opinion meet all the established criteria and are the best and lowest price. Questions Due 02/09/24 @ 11AM CST Questions or requests for clarification of technical issues and terms pertaining to this Bid must be submitted in writing via e-mail to A'Ishah Williams at williamsa38@scsk12.org and copy Matthew Saunders at saundersme@scsk12.org . The anticipated term of this contract is one (1) year with the option to renew for one (1) additional one (1) year terms. The SCBE requests bids for CNC Freezer Doors Installation. The specifications are contained in the Invitation for Bid. Responses submitted must meet or exceed all requirements. Bids that do not meet or exceed all requirements will be considered non-responsive. All exceptions must be noted. The scope of work is for replacement and installation for a new walk-in freezer door shall include and not be limited to the following: o Bidders must have a current Tennessee State Contractors License to Bid o Bidders must have a local and state Mechanical & Electrical license or engage a contractor with the appropriate license to pull permits to install all mechanical and electrical components. o Permits will be required when work is completed and submitted with a pay request. o Bidder will be responsible for installing new doors, mechanical, electrical, and new disconnects. o Bidder will provide final electrical and start-up. o Bidder will provide MSCS with minimum (1) one year warranty on all parts and labor on components and installation. o Bidder will ensure door is designed and certified for use in walk-in freezer applications. o Bidder will include freight charge based on standard delivery. o Bidder responsibility to verify that the amperage and voltage of new equipment is compatible with the existing building power at the panel. o Bidder's electrical contractor must bring any existing wiring from existing electrical panel to new equipment up to Code if necessary and provide permit. o Installers must have a current Mechanical and Electrical license to install all electrical and mechanical components, electrical conduit, and control wiring. o Installer will provide EFD Horizontal slide (manual) EA 4.0 o Single panel Horizontal manual slide (HV) o Freezer (4" thick door panel);lOF W/S and lOF T/S o 304 stainless steel (24GA) finish in/out o 108" Wide x 120" High Opening o 36" High Diamond aluminum kickplate in/out o 12" tall 304 SS (24GA) Clad Header w/304 SS (24ga) Clad Alum Droptrack o 304 SS (24GA) clad extruded aluminum casings. o Panel mounted gaskets. o Casing mounted leading edge closure hook. o Floor mounted trailing edge poly guides o Pull handle in/out o Stainless steel hardware package o 120V heater in door/frame o 304 stainless steel (24GA) backup header and casings o Stainless Steel 10" carriage bolts and nuts o 4" stainless steel lag bolts o Stainless Steel 4" lag bolts for header installation and 4 screws with dress washers for casing installation. o Specify slide direction (2) right (2) left o Installer will run a 3/4 " conduit for (4) dedicated circuits. These circuits are for (4) 120V 16amp heaters to be installed on each new door (4). o Installer will run the power to the main electrical room The successful bidder will perform work at 3176 Jackson Avenue Memphis TN 38112
