Marine Atlantic Inc. (MAI) invites offers from qualified Vendors for the installation of an EV Charger at the docking facility in North Sydney, NS. The project is located at the Marine Atlantic Ferry docking site in North Sydney, Nova Scotia. The Work generally includes, but it is not necessarily limited to, the installation of a Grizzle-e charger and steel support column. More particularly the work includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the following: Owner Supplied Charger Installation - Conduct underground utility scan. - Dig hole to accept new steel post and concrete footing. - Supply and install new steel post and concrete footing. - Backfill the excavated area and compact the rockfill. - Supply and weld charger mounting bracket to steel post. - Install owner supplied 240VAC/1P Grizzl-e charger onto mounting bracket as per supplier recommendations. - Place owner supplied jersey barriers between charger and parking spot. Electrical Works: - Supply and install new electrical panel in existing electrical supply hut. Supply and install new splitter trough and disconnect on exterior of electrical supply hut. Splitter trough to feed new panel in electrical supply hut as well as new disconnect for EV Charger. - Excavate from electrical supply hut to charger location. - Supply and install two conduits from electrical supply hut to charger. One conduit and wire to provide power to EV Charger, one to provide communication to EV Charger. New communication cable to be tied into existing communication switch at electrical supply hut. - Backfill trench flush with existing surfaces. - Ensure charger functions as intended and demonstrate functionality to Marine Atlantic personnel.
