1. The term for this Firm Price List is March 01, 2024 to February 28, 2025.
2. The City of Brandon does not guarantee any minimum or maximum jobs.
3. Jobs will be on an as required basis.
4. Hourly rate must include all equipment, labour, fuel, insurance, delivery charges or any other applicable
fees. The City will only pay for the hourly rate listed on the Bid Form.
5. For larger jobs, the City will work with the Contractor to remove and dispose of any large trees.
6. Woodchips can be taken to the Parks Complex (2020 McGregor Avenue).
7. The City reserves the right to approach any of the Contractors that submitted pricing for the term.
8. Work must be performed by a licensed arborist. Some work may require a Licensed Utility Arborist.
Submit documentation for all employees with the Bid Form.
9. Only Contractors who are in good standing with the Workers Compensation Board (WCB) will be
considered. List your WCB number on the Bid Form.
10. Contractor must hold a valid City of Brandon Business License. Any inquiries on the above should be directed to: Municipal Licensing City Hall, City of Brandon 410-9 th Street Brandon, Manitoba R7A 6A2 Phone: (204) 729-2230 Only Bidders who are registered and fully paid up members with the Workers Compensation Board (W.C.B.) may apply or be awarded work for the City of Brandon. The list of Bidders will be submitted to the W.C.B. for verification of paid up membership. Any Bidder who is not covered by a W.C.B. membership for the 12 month period of the "Tree Service" will automatically be rejected. The City of Brandon has to submit a letter of clearance to the W.C.B. prior to paying out any project, regardless how small the project is. The City of Brandon, therefore, disclaims any liability for any non-employee who may be involved in an accident involving bodily injury while the non City employee is working for a Contractor or is self-employed and is doing work for the City of Brandon.
