Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Salt Lake City, Utah. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; transportation facility; and transportation facility.

This project will expand the curb area for the Ground Transportation B Lane arrivals curb to reduce traffic congestion and safety concerns. Work will include demolition of existing curb and gutter, barrier wall, landscaping and irrigation, pavement marking removal, and unclassified excavation. New construction will consist of the placement of engineered fill, asphalt roadway patching, new barrier wall construction, concrete sidewalk, pavement markings, reconfiguration of irrigation lines, restoration of landscaping, and installation of steel fencing. QUALIFIED HEALTH INSURANCE COVERAGE CERTIFICATION: Bidders on this project will be required to certify that Bidder and all subcontractors of Bidder with a subcontract value of $1,000,000 or more at the original execution of the subcontract, if any, working on the project have and will maintain for the duration of the contract an offer of qualified health insurance in compliance with Salt Lake City Code Section 3.24.115. WORK ENVIRONMENT CERTIFICATION: Bidders on this project will be required to certify that Bidder and every subcontractor, if any, has and will maintain, throughout the duration of this project, the following five (5) policies and programs as defined in Salt Lake City Code Section 3.24.115: 1. A drug and alcohol testing policy; 2. A program to actively recruit and/or employ Veterans; 3. A job training program; 4. A safety program; 5. A formal policy of non-discrimination consistent with federal, state and local law. Description of the Work - The Work to be performed consists of furnishing and installing the equipment, facilities, services and appurtenances thereto as included in the Contract Documents. A general description of the Work is set forth in the Agreement to these Contract Documents. Any questions regarding the Environmental Protection Program should be directed to the Airport's Environmental Programs Manager, at (801) 575-2987. Request For Information (RFI). The Contractor shall use an RFI in the field in a timely manner to present any questions or clarifications requested by the Contractor. The Owner shall, upon receipt, respond to the RFI in writing in a timely manner.
