Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a playground / park / athletic field in Elgin, Illinois. Completed plans call for the addition of a playground / park / athletic field; for the demolition of a playground / park / athletic field; for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field; and for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.

All proposals must be accompanied by a bid bond, certified or cashier's, or a bank draft in an amount equal to at least ten percent (10%) of the bid, payable without condition to the City of Elgin, Illinois, which sum shall be forfeited in case the successful bidder fails to enter into a binding contract and provide a properly executed contract and surety bond within 15 days after the date the contract is awarded by the City Council. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a Performance and Payment bond equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the total contract price as security for the faithful performance and the payment of all bills and obligations arising from the performance of the contract. Each bidder shall satisfy the City as to their ability, financially or otherwise, to carry out the work. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids or to waive technicalities and any informality in any bid. The scope of work includes but is not limited to: Project consists of the removal of trees at the future home of the Elgin Sports Complex Expansion. Trees include those inventoried in 2016 and those trees and saplings that have emerged since. Some of the trees to be removed will be salvaged and used as merchantable lumber. The project also includes the preservation of trees to remain and the installation of semi-permanent tree preservation fencing that will remain on the property for future construction work, and all other appurtenant work and materials necessary to complete the project within the outline Park phase limits as set forth in the bid documents.
