Douglas County, Kansas is soliciting proposals from qualified construction vendors for the rehabilitation and renovation of the Douglas County Commission Chamber located in the historic Douglas County Kansas Courthouse. The building is located at 1100 Massachusetts Street in Lawrence Kansas. The Commission Chamber is located on the second floor and will remain fully occupied throughout the course of construction. It is Douglas County's intention to acquire a dependable Contractor with a firmly established base of operations who can offer experience in working on historic structures, at a competitive rate, and producing a high-quality end product.
