The RM of Lumsden No. 189 invites quotes for gravel crushing and stockpiling in a leased pit located on the S 1/2 6-21-22-W2 in the vicinity of Regina Beach, SK as follows: 30,000 cubic yards of Type 108 traffic gravel with minimum 50% fracture; and 15,000 cubic yards of Type 106 traffic gravel with minimum 50% fracture. The required quantities are: o 30,000 cubic yards of Type 108 traffic gravel with minimum 50% fracture; and o 15,000 cubic yards of Type 106 traffic gravel with minimum 50% fracture. in accordance with the Saskatchewan Ministry of Highways and Infrastructure 4300 - Specification for Traffic Gravel. Specification sheet attached as Schedule 'A', for ease of reference. The expected completion date for gravel crushing and stockpiling is May 31, 2024. If the material is stockpiled with a conveyor belt, the free-fall distance from the conveyor belt to the stockpile shall be no greater than 2 metres. The stockpile will be constructed on level surface. All overburden to be stripped and piled to be later spread on spoiled area. Finished slopes will be no greater than 4 to 1. Stripping and any other associated work will be considered as an extra. The contractor shall be responsible for ensuring the traffic gravel meets the required specifications during crushing operations, the R.M. will be allowed access to the stockpile to gather samples for compliance tests. Suspend or cancel the RFQ at any time for any reason without penalty. ii. Reject any and all bids or accept any bid or part thereof and may award all or a portion of the work to one or more proponent. iii. In the event that a number of proponents submit bids in substantially the same amount or should proposals be scored equal, the RM may, at its discretion, call upon those proponents to submit further bids. iv. No term or condition shall be implied, based upon any industry or trade practice or custom, any practice or policy of the RM or otherwise, which are inconsistent with the provisions contained herein.
