A. This project consists of the contractor providing all labor, equipment, materials, supplies, insurance (see paragraph 9 below), etc. necessary to connect sprinkler piping in thirteen education trailers and supply updated sprinkler drawings for fire marshal review and approval. A CADD file for updating will be supplied to the awarded contractor. The contract shall be Maryland State Licensed Fire Sprinkler Contractor. B. Work associated with the sprinkler install shall include but not be limited to the following 1. Vendor to install DJS supplied 2' sprinkler piping in thirteen trailers at all interior mate lines. 2. Vendor to supply and install 4"riser ductile valve tee that will connect to existing sprinkler piping. 3. Vendor to supply and install 4" flow switch. Water-Flow Indicators shall meet UL 346 standards to include the following; electrical-supervision, vane-type water-flow detector; with 250-psig pressure rating; and designed for horizontal or vertical installation. Include two single-pole, double-throw, circuit switches for isolated alarm and auxiliary contacts, 7 A, 125-V ac and 0.25 A, 24-V dc; complete with factory-set, fieldadjustable retard element to prevent false signals and tamperproof cover that sends signal if removed. This is a SBR project to install a sprinkler system for the new educational facility at Charles Hickey School.
