The City of Norcross is soliciting sealed competitive bids from qualified Contractors for the abatement, demolition, haul off, and stabilization of existing structures for the locations listed below: Structure 1 74 Stevens Road Norcross, GA 30071 Structure 2 84 Stevens Road Norcross, GA 30071 Structure 3 98 Stevens Road Norcross, GA 30071 Demolition of structures will consist of the furnishing of all materials, labor, and equipment for the utility cut off, abatement, proper filings, demolition, haul off and erosion control/site stabilization. We appreciate your interest in the City of Norcross! 1/21,2024 PROJECT SCOPE The project will consist of caping the existing utilities at the main, performing required abatement, demolition, haul off, and stabilization of the structures/area.Contractor to perform all work in accordance with federal, state, and local guidelines Abatement: Prior to demolition, asbestos abatement will be required. Asbestos reports are included as Appendix E. Contractors scope includes performing all required local, state, and federal required filings, notifications, and proper disposal. A copy of the Contractors Georgias Asbestos License should be included in the proposal package. Demolition: Scope includes proper demolition of the structures and their footers/foundations. Scope includes Contractors coordination efforts to shut-off and cap all utilities to the structures. Contractor shall coordinate all efforts with the City and applicable utility provider. Stabilization: The Manual for Erosion and Sediment Control in Georgia, 2016 Edition, by the Georgia Soil and Water Conservation Commission, shall be applied to all land disturbing activities. Contractor shall install perimeter erosion controls prior to the beginning of demolition activities. Contractor shall utilize GSWCC approved Best Management Practices (BMPs) in the appropriate context to prohibit the trespass of sediment from the project site. Once building slabs or foundations have been removed, Contractor shall establish a consistent grade and ensure positive drainage. Contractor shall provide temporary stabilization throughout the demolition process as needed. Permanent stabilization shall be achieved using sod and/or seeding. Prior to project acceptance, grassing shall be fully established and all temporary BMPs shall be removed. Phase I Environmental Study: A Phase I report shall be provided to the bidders as part of the Addendum for Submitted Questions
