Demolition, site work and addition to a municipal facility in Panama City, Florida. Completed plans call for the addition of a 3,774-square-foot municipal facility; for the demolition of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.
As of September 3, 2024, this project is under construction. The general contractor has been identified. Construction is expected to last from July 2024 to November 2024; however, construction could finish sooner. Questions Due Date: Feb 9th 2024, 5:00 PM CST Bay County is seeking bids from qualified, licensed General or Building Contractors to provide all necessary labor, supervision, equipment, and supplies to construct an Environmental Health Office Suite on the 3rd floor of the Bay County Government Center located at 840 W. 11th Street, Panama City, FL 32401. The Contractor is to construct an approximate 3,168 square foot office suite on the 3rd floor of the Bay County Government Center located at 840 W. 11th Street, Panama City, FL 32401, as per the Statement of Work, Exhibit 2, and provided design plans by VBA Design, Inc. Exhibit Note: Respondents shall attend the pre-bid meeting. Any respondent who fails to attend will be deemed non-responsive and automatically disqualified from further consideration. The purpose of this meeting is to familiarize respondents with the project and answer questions. All respondents must be present and signed in prior to the start of the Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting. The convener of the meeting will collect the sign in sheet(s) and the meeting will "Officially" start. Anyone not signed in at the "Official" start of the meeting will be considered late and will not be allowed to propose on the project. Please allow 10 to 15 minutes to sign in prior to the start of the Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting. Bidders shall submit all questions, in writing, to the Purchasing Department via email Purchasing@baycountyfl.gov, the Bonfire portal, or FAX to (850) 248-8276 Board Meeting for recommended award Tuesday, March 5, 2024 Construct Environmental Health Office Suite. - Construction of new office suite will be as per provided plans by VBA Design, Inc. - Existing acoustic ceiling will remain at outer walls (W-2) and will be removed and replaced with 2' X 2' acoustic ceiling for new construction. - Remove existing 49 1/2 " X 96 1/2 " reception window from the current Environmental Health Suite on the second floor and reuse for the administrative office as per design drawings. - Storage room fencing to be relocated as per drawings. -A wall with double doors (match existing double doors) will be connstructed to enclose the existing gym from the remaining 3rd floor open area. - Delete dishwasher from breakroom and utilize cabinets for this space. - It will be necessary to remove one of the existing 3rd floor windows to have the construction material delivered to the work site; this will be the responsibility of the contractor. - HVAC system and HVAC system electrical requirements are not included in this contract and will be accomplished through a separate contract. Contractor awarded this contract will need to coordinate with HVAC contractor to ensure minimal interference with each other's work schedules. - All necessary permitting (minus HVAC system) will be the responsibility of the contractor. - Bay County Facilities Management will coordinate with Advanced Fire Protection Services for any necessary relocation/additions of fire sprinkler heads for this office suite. *D & B Builders Inc requests bids be submitted to: Travis Minchew (travis@db-builders.com) no later than February 23, 2024, at 02:00 PM.
