As of August 22, 2025, a construction manager has been awarded. Construction began in March 2025 and projected to end in October 2025. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The Ohio State University (Ohio State) requests qualifications for an architectural/engineering team with all required consultants necessary to complete The James Outpatient Care - Advanced Imaging Linac project. This project is a result of a long-term guiding vision that imagines transformational research and learning environments over the next decade and beyond. This project comprehensively supports the university's academic and outreach missions, while strengthening Ohio State's position as a leading national flagship public research university. This project is a key component to fulfill that vision. The project will consist of a design for a new advanced image guided radiotherapy modality in an existing radiation shielded shelled vault at The James Outpatient Care facility, 2121 Kenny Road. The project will include a treatment room and all supporting spaces such as control room, equipment room, restroom and changing room and potential modifications to the surrounding area as required. The project will commence with a study to verify and rank the owner's highest best use of potential advanced image guided radiotherapy devices and budget. The owner is considering several devices, the initial focus will be a shelled vault and additional shelled space at The James Outpatient Care facility. If other suitable solutions and/or locations are identified additional facilities may be studied. Deliverables of the study will be a Program of Requirements, Construction Estimate and duration schedule. The project is planned to move directly into schematic design unless a suitable solution is not determined. This project is required to be designed and delivered within a collaborative BIM-enabled environment following The Ohio State University BIM Project Delivery Standards. The Primary firm submitting for the project will be required to have the BIM expertise capable of meeting the aforementioned standards. The Ohio State University BIM Project Delivery Standards can be accessed via the OSU FOD website. This request is for Architect/Engineer Team (A/E) to provide design and project management for development of the Program of Requirements, and completion of Schematic Design through Construction Administration phases. The project and construction budget as listed in this RFQ are estimated and to be confirmed as part of the Program Development, Schematic Design, Design Development and Construction Document phases of the work. The project has been approved for design services only, proceeding into construction will require further approval form the Board of Trustees. For projects advertised with an appropriately developed Program of Requirements (POR), upon award of the Agreement, commence with Design. For projects without such a POR, upon award of the Agreement, commence by developing the Program of Requirements. Question Deadline: 01/25/2024.
