Project Overview: The Project consists of a four story, approximately 82,200 gross square foot student housing facility. This project will be located west of the existing residence halls at the southwest corner of the main campus, in proximity to the Shaw and Cedar Avenue Intersection. This is the first new construction for Fresno State Housing since the late 1960s. This project will provide 228 apartment-style bed spaces which will help to meet the demand for affordable student housing. The project also includes units for students with children. Common spaces include meeting rooms, lounges, study spaces, recreation rooms, and laundry facilities. Prequalification Requirements: Prequalification through Fresno State AND Quiring General is required for the following trades in order to be eligible to bid this project. Rough Carpentry Drywall and Metal Framing HVAC Plumbing Electrical All information submitted for prequalification evaluation will be considered official information acquired in confidence and Quiring General will maintain its confidentiality to the extent permitted by law. Selection Process: Prequalification statements will be reviewed, and the selected Prequalified contractors will be sent an invitation to bid when this project is sent out. Currently anticipate bidding starting early July 2024 and completing early August 2024 Quiring General reserves the right to reject any or all responses to Prequalification Questionnaires and to waive nonmaterial irregularities in any response received.
