Reference Number 0000340183 The Village of Orland Park ("Village") is requesting bids for asphalt maintenance of parking lots and multi-use paths. Work type is generally, but not limited to parking lot resurfacing, parking lot patching, multi-use path resurfacing and multi-use path patching. ("Project"). This work shall apply to the multi-use path project areas which are identified for a hot mix asphalt surface course overlay. The intent of the project pay item is to provide the means for the existing, underlying asphalt surface to accommodate for a 1.5-inch hot mix asphalt surface overlay against adjoining pavement surfaces, such as driveways, sidewalks and end-of-paving limits. The dimensions for the BUTT JOINTS shall vary in size, depending on the width of the adjoining pavement surface. The size and location of the BUTT JOINTS shall be determined by the Engineer and Contractor, and marked in the field accordingly. The Contractor shall confirm the BUTT JOINTS are of suitable dimensions to allow for the hot mix asphalt surface course to be placed at a minimum 1.5 thickness, along the adjacent, undisturbed pavements The work to be performed by the successful proposer shall be complete on or before October 25, 2024.
