The elevator that serves the Airport Traffic Control Tower (ATCT) at the Eugene (EUG) Airport (Eugene, OR) was installed in 1986. The elevator is an electric basement geared traction elevator has a 2500-pound car weight rating with a speed 150 Feet Per Minute (FPM) that serves 5 floors and stops. The elevator is the primary means of vertical transportation for the building and is the only elevator that serves the ATCT.
This elevator is in operational condition. This project will replace aging components including but not limited to INSERT FROM REPORT. The project will also bring the elevator up to the most recent version of the ASME A17.1 elevator code. All questions regarding the SIR should be submitted in writing to Rodgers.L.Cox@faa.gov and Erin.M.Crabtree@faa.gov no later than seven calendar days after site visit by 1200 CT. BIL-funded elevator modernization and preventive service maintenance agreement at the Air Traffic Control Tower at the Eugene (EUG) Airport in Eugene, OR. The FAA is exempt from state and local taxes; this exemption, however, does not pass through to the contractor. The contractor therefore will be responsible for all state, local, and other applicable taxes. All contractors must have an active registration in SAM (sam.gov) in order to receive the award. Performance and Payment Bonds are required for this requirement.
