Demolition and site work for a financial development in Rexburg, Idaho. Completed plans call for the demolition of a financial development; and for site work for a financial development.
The Rexburg Urban Renewal Agency (RURA) is seeking bids for demolition of a building located at 54/56 College Ave, Rexburg, Idaho 83440. The work includes the following: o Demolish the complete building, floor, and foundation. o Remove all demolished material from the site. o Dispose of the material in accordance with applicable regulations. o Excavate, cap, and backfill the sewer service where it ties to the common sewer service at the west end of the lot. o Excavate, cap, and backfill the water service behind the sidewalk on College Ave. o Backfill and compact the foundation excavation with granular borrow material up to the elevation of the surrounding ground. o Disconnect the roof structure and roofing material from the adjacent building on Carlson Ave. o Contractor must protect the adjacent building (Viking Villa) from damage during demolition and backfill and will be responsible for repair of any damage to the adjacent building. Work not included: o RURA will hire a separate contractor to test the structure for asbestos. o RURA will hire a separate contractor to remediate the building for any asbestos, prior to the Contractor's work. RURA will provide the Contractor with documentation of the asbestos testing and remediation. o The City water department will turn off the water to the building and remove the meters. o RURA will contact utility companies for utility disconnections. o The sidewalk along the city street will remain in place and shall be retained and protected by the contractor during all work. o The City asphalt parking lot to the south will remain in place. The Contractor will retain and protect the asphalt, as much as possible, during all work. o The stairs leading to the upstairs level of Viking Villa Apartments must be retained and protected. Other project requirements: o The stairs leading to the upstairs level of Viking Villa are for emergency exit of the building. The stairs can be closed to normal foot traffic, but need to be accessible for emergency exits. o It will be the bidder's responsibility to examine existing site conditions. The building is currently occupied; therefore, any interior access to the building for inspection must be scheduled with RURA. o The Contractor will be able to close College Ave between Carlson Ave and 1st South and the north 50 ft of the parking lot to the south during the work. The Contractor will be required to apply for a Temporary Road Closure Permit from the City prior to the work. The Contractor will be responsible for all traffic control and for coordinating with other property owners for access to their buildings. o It is anticipated that work can commence on April 1, 2024. The winning bidder will have 30 calendar days from that date or after completion of asbestos remediation, whichever is later, to have all work completed. o If you have any questions regarding the bid, please contact Scott Miller at 208-372-2133 or scott.miller@rexburg.org.
