Summary: Bids will be received for the contemplated purchase of construction services and materials to construct the Gordon Road Ni Reservoir Drainage Repairs project in Spotsylvania County, VA. The project consists of furnishing and installing approximately 44 linear feet of 16-inch, 233 linear feet of 22-inch, and 136 linear feet of 24-inch diameter Steel Drainage pipe, and all necessary appurtenances to complete the project. The Gordon Road Ni Reservoir Drainage Repairs project is described in the specification titled Spotsylvania County Gordon Road Ni Reservoir Drainage Improvements, Questions and Inquiries from Bidders must be received by the Spotsylvania County Procurement Division by Friday, February 16, 2024 at noon. Each Bid over $100,000 must be accompanied by (1) Letter of Credit; or (2) a Cashiers Check or a Certified Check from the Bidder in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the Bid, The successful Bidder shall furnish a Performance Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Sum as security for the faithful performance of this Contract, and also a Labor and Material Payment Bond in an amount not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Sum, as security for the payment of all persons performing labor and furnishing materials under this Contract. The County expressly reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive any informalities in the Bids received, and to accept that Bid which, in its judgment, best serves the interest of the County.
