The County is not responsible for verbal clarification of information provided by parties other than staff of the Procurement Division. The County of Spotsylvania, Virginia is seeking bids from qualified for easement clearing services at various locations for projects in Spotsylvania County. The easement clearing services shall be for mowing, bush hogging and timber removal and will be required on an hourly, on-call, as-needed basis. The successful bidder (Contractor) shall perform all the easement clearing services and provide all project management supervision, labor, tools, equipment, machinery, materials, fuel, insurance, personnel, labor and a qualified equipment operator to complete the work specified in "Section IV Scope of Work". CONTRACT TERM AND PRICING A. Contract Term Any contract resulting from this Invitation for Bid shall have a term limit of three (3) years from date of award and may be renewable for three (3) additional terms at the option of Spotsylvania County. B. Price Increases Price increases may be negotiated only at the time of renewal. Upon a determination by the County to renew the contract for an additional term, written notification will be given to the contractor. If the County elects to exercise the option to renew the contract for an additional one year period, the contract price(s) for the additional one year shall not exceed the contract price(s) of the original contract increased by more than the Commodity & Service Group/Services category of the CPI-W section of the Consumer Price Index of the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics for the latest twelve months for which statistics are available, or 3%, whichever the lesser.
