Late questions will not be answered. Oral clarifications offered by any Board employee will not be binding on the Board. Respondents are solely responsible for ensuring that they have received all necessary procurement documentation, including any clarifications and addenda. The Board is not responsible for ensuring that any and all procurement documentation is received by any Respondent. Any revision or expansion of the terms, conditions, or specifications provided in this RFQ that are deemed necessary by the Chief Procurement Officer before the due date of Responses will be made in the form of an addendum issued by the Department of Procurement Firms requiring additional assistance shall only contact Ann Yi via Bonfire (preferred) or ayi@cps.edu. If a Respondent is in doubt as to the true meaning of a part of this RFQ, Respondent may submit a written request for clarification to the aforesaid individual with a reference to the Specification Number provided on the cover page of the RFQ. No telephone calls will be accepted. Respondents, including all agents or subcontractors, who contact any other CPS personnel, either verbally or in writing, concerning this RFQ, are in violation of the procurement procedures and any submitted Responses from or including such individuals or entities may be disqualified. Respondents shall be responsible for the successful submission of the Response before the advertised date and hour for the receipt of the Responses Respondent shall bear all costs of responding to this Request for Qualifications (RFQ). The pre-qualification period and the term of the agreement for the services described in this RFQ will commence August 1, 2024 and end on December 31, 2024, unless terminated sooner as provided in the contract. The Board may re-evaluate and renew the pre-qualification status and contract for two (2) respective periods of one (1) year each under the same terms and conditions as in the original contract. PLEASE NOTE: THE BOARD WILL BE AWARDING PRE-QUALIFICATION STATUS AND MASTER AGREEMENTS IN ONE OF TWO CATEGORIES: -Category A: Projects GREATER THAN $1.5 MILLION OR -Category B: Projects LESS THAN OR EQUAL TO $1.5 MILLION Note that General Contractors will be pre-qualified for only ONE Category. General Contractor must indicate in its Cover Letter (see Submittal Requirements in Section V) the Category for which it is seeking pre-qualification. A payment and performance bond shall be required for each Project over $50,000.00 awarded to a qualified Respondent in the amount of the base contract price for such Project. The qualified Respondent shall acquire the bond(s) at its own expense. A bid bond in the amount of 5% of the total bid price will be required for all Project bids over $25,000.00 at time of bid. No bid deposits will be accepted. Responses Are to Be Submitted Electronically According to the Instructions Contained in the Submittal Requirements Section of This Request for Qualifications. If Respondent Designates Any Portion of Its Submittal as Exempt Under the Illinois Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), Respondent Shall Also Provide One (1) Electronic Version of the Redacted Response.
