Notice is hereby given that the Santa Rosa County Board of County Commissioners is seeking to contract with a professional consulting firm for engineering design services for the CR 182 Resurfacing and Widening Project Design. The selected firm will develop the contract documents that will include, at a minimum, cost estimates, construction plans, technical specifications, and all necessary permits for the work. The design for this project will include survey, roadway design, stormwater design, geotechnical services, environmental services, and permitting for the milling and resurfacing of County Road 182. Also included in the design will be the replacement of damaged or leaking cross culverts, repair and upgrade of driveway culverts, re-establishment of side ditch flow line, widening for paved shoulders and rumble strips, six-inch lane lines, and installation of raised reflective pavement markers. The geometric design will utilize the design standards that are most appropriate. All work will be completed within the existing right-of-way. The total project length is 6.97 miles. . All submissions shall be considered in accordance with the Florida Competitive Consultant Negotiations Act. (F.S. 287.055). Questions concerning this request should be submitted through the procurement portal by 12:00 pm on Thursday, February 15, 2024. In determining whether a firm is qualified, the County shall consider such factors as the ability of professional personnel, whether a firm is a certified minority business enterprise, past performance, willingness to meet time and budget requirements, recent, current, and projected workloads of the firms, and other criteria included in the RFQ responses. These negotiations will conform to the Florida Consultants Competitive Negotiation Act (CCNA) Chapter 287.055, Florida Statutes and County Policy.
