Vaughan Well Project (construction) All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to the OWNER AND ENGINEER in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by the OWNER AND ENGINEER in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by the OWNER as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than four (4) days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by Addenda/Amendment will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. The drilling program shall include drilling of at least two, and up to three, exploratory borings and construction of one water supply well. Exploratory borings that are not completed as production wells will either be plugged to ground surface or completed as two-inch observation wells. Borings will be drilled through an interbedded sequence of unconsolidated to poorly consolidated sand, silt, clay and gravel alluvium, overlying Triassic-age redbed shale. The production well will be screened exclusively in the alluvium and the production boring will not penetrate more than 20 feet of redbed. The drilling bids shall specify suitable drilling method(s) necessary to complete the installation of a supply well. All drilling activities will be supervised by NMISC and/or their subcontractor. The drilling contractor will be responsible for removing from the site all debris generated during site activities, except that drill cuttings may be spread out on-site.
