The scope of work will include Storm Drain and Roadway Improvements at the Kalamazoo Psychiatric Hospital. The bidders will submit one lump sum amount for all work. One contractor will be awarded; however, two (2) separate contracts will be issued for the Storm Drain Repairs and the Roadway Improvements. The contractor will need to complete a separate Bid Schedule for each project when submitting their bid. Contractor will also need to track and invoice separately for each contract throughout the project. The road replacement work will be phased to correspond with the repairs / replacement of storm sewers on the site. torm Drain Repairs (File No. 491/23070.CAK) Includes, but is not necessarily limited to removal of storm structures and pipe. Abandonment of storm sewer pipe. New storm structures with perforated pipe in gravel trench utilizing existing storm water discharge into Oakland Drive storm sewer. Installation of imported topsoil, fine grading and turf restoration Replace Existing Roadway (File Number 491/23071.CAK) Includes but is not necessarily limited to removal of asphalt (full depth) and HMA crushing and shaping. Removal of concrete curb, and concrete walks. Also salvaging of signs. Site grading to proposed elevations, new 4 concrete sidewalks with ADA ramps, 8 concrete paving, C4 Curb and Gutter, HMA paving (2 lifts) and parking striping. Reinstallation of existing signs.
